Visitor Center
The Chilo Lock 34 Visitor Center and Museum is located in the former operations building of the old lock and dam #34. The lock and dam closed permanently in 1964. The park district renovated the building in 2005 into a Visitor Center and Museum. The visitor center contains interactive exhibits and displays focusing on "Living and Working with the Ohio River".
