Chilo Lock 34 Park Boat Ramp

The renovation to the Chilo Lock 34 Park boat ramp is nearly complete. The park district is still awaiting installation of the floating courtesy docks. The construction of the ramp itself is complete, and the ramp is open to boaters, just in time for the busy summer boating season.
"We hope to have the docks in place some time in June", said Park District director Chris Clingman. The new ramp is two lanes wide and will allow easier access to the river for boaters. Additional work still has to be completed on the new expanded boat trailer parking lot, but that will not hold up the progress of the ramps and dock.
The construction project is being funded entirely by an $800,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Watercraft.
