Batavia, Ohio. Looking for a fun way to spend the day? Check out the Ohio River sightseeing cruises offered by the Clermont County Park District, in partnership with BB Riverboats. The cruises on the Mark Twain paddle wheeler will be offered on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2009, departing from the Chilo Lock #34 Park. The Saturday cruises will be available at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.; the Sunday cruises are scheduled at noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Two special dinner cruises are also available on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the sightseeing cruises cost $16 for adults and $9 for children; tickets for the dinner cruises cost $43.95.
“This is the second year we’ve partnered with BB Riverboats for the cruises,” said Clermont Parks Director Chris Clingman. “In addition to the cruises, the Park District will offer free live animal and river history programs on Saturday and Sunday inside the Chilo Lock #34 Park Museum and Visitor Center. The Riverworks Discovery program will join us to offer river related hands-on activities for children.”
